"Smile in Style" visit is Nov. 14

On Nov. 14, workers with the Elkhorn Valley Public Health Department will be at Bancroft-Rosalie Public Schools for their "Smile in Style" program.

A visual screening will be conducted by a registered dental hygienist. Fluoride varnish will be applied and, if applicable, dental sealants will be placed on selected teeth. These are optional preventative dental services but should not replace your child's regular visits to the dentist. Dental disease is one of the most preventable of all health problems.

For parents interested in having these services provided, please stop in the B-R school office or call 402-648-3336. You will be asked to sign a parent permission slip.

If your child is covered by Heritage Health/Medicaid, the services are covered with no out-of-pocket charges. For children not covered, the dept. requests a $20 contribution to defray the cost of providing the services however no child will be refused for the inability to pay. A note will be sent home after your child's visual screening if they are any concerns.
