Treats await Most Improved, Good Character

A trip to Dairy Queen may be on the minds of 21 elementary students who are being recognized by their teachers for positive traits demonstrated both in and outside the classroom during the third quarter.

Those who were named "Most Improved" were Afton King for kindergarten, Jaina Raasch for 1st grade, Tayven Kemp for 2nd grade, Pierce Paulson for 3rd grade, Hunter Carpenter for 4th grade, Jocie Pagels for 5th grade and Brandon Ison for 6th grade. Those seven students received certificates to receive a free mini blizzard at DQ locations in South Sioux City, Onawa and Sioux City.

Earning a free small ice cream cone for "Good Character" were kindergarteners Kendra and Leah Beaudette, first graders Braxton Bonneau and Kenidee McClain, second graders Garan Coons and AJ Wiese, third graders Lilly Beutler and Kailey Raasch, fourth graders Alec Bonneau and Elyse Raasch, fifth graders Colten Briggs and Lauren Kramer and sixth graders Tyler Gatzemeyer and Audra Nolting.
