Hi! My name is Rebecca James, and I teach first grade here at Bancroft-Rosalie. Just a little bit of information about myself. I grew up on a farm south of Hildreth, a small town 30 miles south of Kearney. After graduating high school, I went to Midland Lutheran College, now Midland University, in Fremont. Go Warriors!! I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Human Services and a coaching endorsement. I graduated from Midland in 2005, and I went on to further my education. I received my masters degree from Wayne State College in 2010. This will be my 16th year teaching at Bancroft-Rosalie. I absolutely love my job!! I enjoy working with kids at this age because they are full of conversations, questions, energy and knowledge. I enjoy watching the students grow, learn and progress during elementary school. ☺ I am married to Adam James, who is a principal coach, and athletic director at Winnebago Public Schools. We have three daughters. The twins, Addison and Makenna, are in 8th grade here at Bancroft-Rosalie, and my youngest Jaylynn, is in 4th grade. Just a few more things…. I love sports – basketball is my favorite! I like to read, travel and spend time with my family. And, I most certainly will be your child’s cheerleader as they progress in my class!!!
