Ag Students Begin Plot Work
From learning about the types of weeds, to planting crops in the plot, the Ag Class has been having a blast. The students picked as many different types of weeds as they could find, in preparation for weed identification. Students have been cleaning up their plot and planting. The experiment is to see which corn is more vigorous, the organic corn or the treated/GMO corn. The class also planted some oats and alfalfa along with a cover crop between the corn rows. In addition to identification of weeds, students are learning about tillage and planting techniques.
