Vocab pays off!

Before the holiday break, seventh and eighth graders were working hard on vocabulary words.

Every student has a vocabulary.com account. Not only can students study lists assigned by teachers, but they can also participate in a national vocabulary bowl to compete as individuals and as a school.

Some of the junior high students had been ranked in the top 10 during particular weeks of practice, with quite a few of them having more than two million points racked up. Students are recognizing these new words and using them! One seventh grader even said, "Vocab pays off."
