Larsen, Henschen place in math contest

A total of eight students from Bancroft-Rosalie participated in the 45th annual Math Contest at Wayne State College in early May. They were among approximately 200 students from Nebraska and Iowa participating in the contest.

Panthers competing were juniors Luke Kramer, Kelsey Larsen, Darwin Snyder and Tyra Bonneau; sophomores Micah Henschen and Aubrey Berg; freshman Lauren Kramer, and 7th grader Logan Kramer.

Students took an exam in either Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus or Calculus. Teams from each school also played rounds in math jeopardy and watched a planetarium show or participated in a break-out box. Larsen tied for 9th place in PreCalculus, and Henschen tied for 10th in Geometry.

Congratulations to all of these students for being considered top students in their represented math classes and to those placing at the contest.
