7 Inducted into NHS

The National Honor Society of Bancroft-Rosalie inducted seven new members recently following the Fine Arts Banquet.

Inductees were Rebekah Henschen, daughter of Nathan and Rhonda Henschen; Cydnee Bonsall, daughter of Chris and Candi Bonsall; Kariden Briggs, daughter of Tony and Shonna Briggs; Devon Darnell, son of Brook and Tricia Darnell; Olivia Osborne, daughter of Lowell and Milissa Osborne; Paige Peters, daughter of Rod and Cindi Peters, and Zoe Sjuts, daughter of Mike and Renee Sjuts.

Six returning members conducted the traditional induction ceremony, lighting candles to represent knowledge and the four pillars of National Honor Society: scholarship, leadership, character and service.

Members are required to demonstrate admirable scholarship by maintaining an honor-roll level GPA. In addition, they complete at least 60 hours of community service and are expected to demonstrate positive leadership and character. As part of the induction ceremony, parents were invited to assist students in putting on a National Honor Society robe and pinning on an emblem.

Returning members were Lauren Ahlers, daughter of Tim and Sandy Ahlers; Kelcee Bacon, daughter of Ryan and Stacy Bacon; Morgan Bonneau, daughter of Barry and Lauri Bonneau; Tiahna Bonneau, daughter of Curt and RuthAnn Bonneau; Zachary Bridges, son of Daniel and Amber Bridges; Anna Currier, daughter of Tara Currier; Vicki Gatzemeyer, daughter of Todd Gatzemeyer and the late Michelle Gatzemeyer; Madison Hansen, daughter of Scott and Abby Hansen; Kailey Irwin, daughter of Mashelle Irwin; Joe Lonewolf, grandson of Robbie Lonewolf; Mariah Petersen, daughter of Clark and Laurie Petersen; Teagan Steinmeyer, daughter of Kent and Lyn Steinmeyer, and Jacob Zuhlke, son of John and Nicole Sachs and the late Curt Zuhlke.

Senior National Honor Society members were also honored for their achievement at graduation.
