Congratulations KJ Blackhawk and Jaden Browning for being selected to the 2026 East Husker All-Conference Team by the conference coaches.

Three of our amazing 7th graders had an unforgettable day at JAG Legislative Day at the Nebraska State Capitol! 🇺🇸
Zuri Martinez, Kloe McClain, and Brinnley Soll had the opportunity to hear from Governor Pillen, watch live bill debates on the floor, meet with Senator Ben Hansen, and tour the historic capitol building. They were also welcomed by B-R senior Tabby Punke during one of her official duties as JAG State Officer Alternate.
To wrap up the day, students visited UNL’s East Campus, where B-R alum Julie Obermeyer, UNL Career Development and Corporate Relations Director, shared insights into career development and opportunities.
What a powerful day of learning, leadership, and future-building! 👏 #JAG #FutureLeaders #CivicEngagement

Congratulations Bailey Murphy and Jaylynn James for being selected to the 2026 East Husker All-Conference Team by the conference coaches.

Congratulations!!

The 8th graders had the chance to visit two college campuses today. First, they went to the Northeast Community College extended campus in West Point to learn more about Pathways 2 Tomorrow. Then, they enjoyed bingo, a campus tour, and lunch at Midland University. A big thank you to EducationQuest for awarding B-R the 8th Grade Campus Visit Grant to help cover the expenses from today and to Mr. Bridges for transporting our students safely!

Dezire Harlan and Barrett Beutler teamed up for an advanced project in the Agriscience class this year. The team studied the Lunar Effects on Bo’s Taurus Behavior.
Are kids really more crazy during a full moon? Maybe cattle are too? Should we avoid working cattle on days during full moons? Are they more aggressive then for some reason?
That’s what they sought to find out. Research shows that there may be a correlation, and so they hypothesized that it would be better not to work cattle on those days to avoid injury.
After their research, it actually seems they are most calm during a waxing moon! If you can schedule it then, it may be beneficial. Calmer animals, fewer injuries.
They presented their findings at WSC Friday, March 20 at the National Junior Academy of Sciences competition. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak about their project and interact with the judges.

Yesterday was Drive Your Tractor to School Day, and what a day it was! 🚜
Reed took home the Golden Tractor Award for the cleanest tractor—well deserved! The student-made trophy will now become a traveling award, making it even more special in the years to come.
Cason earned 2nd place and won a great prize from Beck’s Seed—congrats!
We had such a fun day at BR and are absolutely loving FFA Week. 💙💛

The B-R art students participated in the annual Big Show in Wakefield. Congrats to all the B-R entries for receiving purples ribbons. Also, congratulations to Tyler Stromberg for receiving B-R's student artist award with his colored pencil drawing of his cat titled "Mac". Participating schools also competed in making a project out of paper clips. Our students chose to make a decorative tree out of paper clips. It was a fun filled day!

Anything but a backpack day for FFA Week at BR did NOT disappoint 👏
Our students absolutely brought the creativity and school spirit—everything from the hilarious to the downright genius. You could tell they understood the assignment and then some.
Safe to say they knocked it out of the park. Proud of this crew for making it such a fun and memorable day! 💙🌾 #FFAWeek #SchoolSpirit #AnythingButABackpack
