Our Kindergarten–2nd Grade DEN students had an incredible learning experience this morning at Nebraska Indian Community College! Students explored the importance of pollinators, learned about Omaha tribal culture and language, and discovered the various plants and vegetation grown on campus.
They also enjoyed tasting fresh raspberries and gooseberries and created a fun craft to take home. Experiences like these help bring learning to life and connect our students to the rich culture and natural resources of our community.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Nebraska Indian Community College for their time, knowledge, and hospitality. We are truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity!
We were thrilled to welcome Pender-Bancroft Girl Scouts Troop #50371 to spend the morning with our DEN kiddos! It's been a fun few days at our second week of summer DEN. The kids have participated in STEM projects, cooking club, extension and finished today with some minute to win it games!

Braylon Wegner (#4) and Lucas Engel (#78) earned the opportunity to participate in the Northeast Nebraska All Star football game held in Norfolk this past Friday. Lucas started at left guard and played every snap of offense and Braylon played wide receiver for the white team. Late in the 4th quarter, Braylon made a highlight reel worthy catch but it was ruled out of bounds. The Red team went on to defeat the White team 16-6. Congratulations to both Lucas and Braylon!

The Community Fitness Center is officially open for community use. Those who have turned in their agreement form with payment should have received an email to set up access control using your cell phone. If you already had access control set up, the new doors were added to your device. Fitness center agreements can be picked up in the office or found on the school website under Menu - Documents. Contact Mr. Elsasser with issues relating to access control.
The "Den" welcomed Superintendent Lurz today with signage for his office. They are doing a great job of making him feel welcome at Bancroft-Rosalie.
Early mornings are not for sleeping when you are a Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers. The new facility is a popular place right now. It will be opening for the public soon. Go Panthers!
Summer Den Program Off to a Great Start
Our Summer Den Program is off to a great start after two fun-filled days of activities. Participants enjoyed a variety of art and science projects, interactive games, and hands-on learning experiences.
We were excited to partner with the Cuming County and Thurston County Extension Offices, whose staff provided engaging educational activities for the youth. The combination of learning, creativity, and teamwork made for a successful beginning to the program.
We look forward to many more exciting activities throughout the summer!

There are a lot of empty halls right now but there is a lot going on behind the scene. After almost twenty-five years of serving as a building administrator, Mr. Lurz started a term as superintendent of Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools this week. A few Lady Panthers were present in the gym during the morning facility inspection tour. It is indeed an honor to be here and represent a new hue of blue! There is so much to be proud of at B-R!
Public access to the Community Fitness Center is temporarily on hold until the security camera is installed and the door access control system becomes fully functional, hopefully by the end of next week. Applications for membership are available at the school office.
