Our Rocket League Esports team took home runner up at the State Tournament today! Congratulations on a great season, KJ, Robert, Trevor, and Arian!

Our first JH Dance of the year is TONIGHT!

On Wednesday, November 19, 9 FFA students competed at the District LDE’s (Leadership Development Events) at the Nielsen Center in West Point.
According to a 2012 article in Psychology Today titled “the Thing We Fear More Than Death,” well… people are scared to speak in front of others.
But, these students not only did it, but crushed it!
Those reciting the FFA Creed (5 memorized paragraph plus impromptu questions) Jon Dick received a Red ribbon. Barrett Beutler and McKaylee Archer received Purple ribbons. All had wonderful compliments on their scoresheets.
We had 2 students complete in Employment Skills: Tabitha Punke and Cora Cooney. Each was judged on Resume paperwork, etc. and completed a live interview. Tabby earned a Purple ribbon and Cora a Blue.
Aaliyah Soll was our lone Senior Public Speaker. She received a Blue with her speech on "The Healing Power of Horses: Embracing Equine Therapy". She received very good comments.
Finally, we had 2 teams compete in Ag Demonstration. Bailey Murphy and River Soll received a Purple with their demonstration on Food Chemistry demonstrating how Popping Boba is made through an ion exchange. Aaliyah, Cora, and Tucker Siebrandt demonstrated the Progression of Horse Bits through training. They received a Purple as well as 3rd Place and Qualified for State! They will compete at the Nebraska State FFA Convention the last week of March 2026.

Todays program:

As part of their Project Lead the Way science unit on renewable resources, sixth-grade students hosted an Energy Expo to showcase their learning. Each partnership selected a renewable energy source to research in depth and became the class “expert” on their chosen topic. Students presented their findings through informative displays and demonstrations, highlighting the importance of sustainable energy for the future.
