The Parent Volunteer Award was awarded to someone whose spirit of service, creativity, and commitment have had a positive impact on our school — Shonna Briggs.
Whether she’s organizing a safe and unforgettable Post Prom, coordinating a beautiful Grand March, or designing spirited signs and decorations for our sporting events, Shonna gives her time and talent generously. She has also been a dedicated member of our Sports Boosters, helping to support our student-athletes behind the scenes in countless ways.
Her efforts build school pride, create memorable experiences for our students, and remind us how powerful parent involvement can be. She’s someone who steps up without being asked and leads with heart.
Thank you again for all you have done!

This week's Bancroft-Rosalie FFA sponsor highlight is Oakland Meat Processing.
Our Animal Health class had the opportunity to dissect beef hearts this week (and we gave an extra to the Biology class). The large hearts give the students an opportunity to really look at the pathways, chambers, and muscles.
In the past, Oakland Meat Processing has also provided beef digestive systems for us to examine.
I also highly recommend their jerky! Stop by and grab a package or two when you're in town.

Team B-R SMARTS competed against area schools at the Battle of the Books competition held at ESU2 in Fremont. Prior to the competition, students were required to read 10 books as a team, write 15 questions over the content in each story and create a team name and logo in preparation for the event. The competition consisted of 3 quickfire rounds of questions, a writing event, and a performance challenge requiring students to re-create a scene from one of the stories. The B-R SMARTS team chose Odder by Katherine Applegate and presented the scene where Odder bravely helps save her friend from a shark attack, but is bitten in the process. B-R SMARTS brought home the creativity award for the best costume design. Team members consisted of Oliver Bridges, Sienna Froehlich, Sydney Harrington, Mason Meyer, and Ryley Sila.

IMPORTANT::

Former Bancroft-Rosalie athlete Elliott Nottlemann is having an excellent year for the Wildcats. In field events, sophomore Elliott Nottlemann had a personal-best mark of 23’ 2 ½” in the long jump to finish third. Congrats Elliott!
