🌟 JAG Nebraska Student Spotlight | National Apprenticeship Week 🌟
Meet Braxton Bonneau, a senior at Bancroft-Rosalie High School who gained hands-on experience through his apprenticeship!
🔧 Apprenticeship Experience
Braxton gained real-world insight working with Rief Design & Manufacturing and RM Sales, all led by Adam Rief. From handling day-to-day tasks to seeing the bigger picture, he learned what it truly takes to run a successful business.
“It showed me how much it takes to operate a business like that.”
💡 Growth & Skills
Through JAG and his work experience, Braxton built confidence and strengthened communication skills, especially learning how to connect with others through conversation.
“Adam helped me realize the type of drafting I want to do, and the experience made me more confident as I enter the adult workforce.”

This semester, the Bancroft-Rosalie Skilled and Technical Sciences program was lucky to host a WSC student teacher. Brett Staab is a senior STS education major from Marcus, IA. Mr. Staab has been student-teaching in Mr. Hilsinger’s classroom since January and been helping coach JH and HS track this spring. Today marks his last official day of student-teaching at B-R.
Mr. Staab has recently accepted a position as an STS teacher at Galva-Holstein community schools in NW Iowa. Bancroft-Rosalie wishes Brett the best as he begins his teaching career and thanks him for his impact this semester on the students here at B-R!

Last Friday, 10 of B-R’s JAG 7th graders had an incredible opportunity exploring the IGNITE Pathways campus in Woodbine, IA. They dove into hands-on activities across 39 different career simulators while discovering new interests, building skills, and imagining their futures. We’re so proud of how well they represented our school and for making it a fun day!
