Bancroft-Rosalie's 7th Grade JAG class showed a strong interest in receiving their CPR certifications early in the school year. The course was implemented based on student interest, and with the help of School Nurse and Northeast Community College Adjunct Professor, Linda Munderloh, LPN, 7 of B-R's 7th grade students recently completed their coursework through Northeast Community College and the American Red Cross. The students were responsible for a self-paced, online class with a hands-on skills test at the conclusion with Nurse Munderloh to pass the class. The students were given a little less than 2 weeks to complete the course. While B-R is used to dual credit students in their high school, these 7 may be the youngest Panthers to be official college students!

Wednesday, September 10, the Ag Business class traveled to Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island. Thanks to a canned food donation to the Heartland United Way. We would also like to thank Beck’s Seed and Travis Hermelbracht for the lunch tickets. Aaliyah, Cora, and Tucker competed in the UNL TAPS Agronomy challenge along with 550 other students. The team won first place on Wednesday, receiving $250! The challenge consisted of insect ID, weeds, diseases, herbicide management, and irrigation simulation.

Cross Country Update
It’s been a great season so far! Our runners are working hard, competing with determination, and maintaining positive attitudes every step of the way.
A few special shout-outs:
Hayden Bridges had a strong showing in West Point, finishing 4th and setting a new personal record!
Barrett Beutler has been on fire, finishing 4th in Beemer and then taking 1st place in West Point!
Cali Cooney turned in an excellent performance, placing 8th in West Point.
Brooklyn Snyder keeps raising the bar, setting not just one but two new PRs—first at Logan View and then again in West Point.
We’re proud of all our athletes for their effort, teamwork, and growth throughout the season. Keep it up B-R!
