Public notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 77-1633, that a representative of the following political subdivisions will meet on the 21st day of September 2026 at 6:30 p.m., at Cuming County Basement Meeting Room (200 S. Lincoln Street, West Point, NE 68788) for the purpose of conducting a joint public hearing to obtain public input on property tax increases proposed by the subdivisions:

Cuming County, 402.372.6002, property tax requested: $4,326,179.61

City of Wisner, 402.529.6616, property tax requested: $507,880.80

Wisner Pilger School District, 402.529.3248, property tax requested: $6,636,870.00

West Point School District, 402.372.5860, property tax requested: $10,442,885.27

Bancroft Rosalie School District, 402.648.3336, property tax requested: $3,348,852.00

Said meetings are open to the public. Accommodations for the disabled are available upon request. Please contact the Cuming County Clerk at 402.372.6002 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting if accommodation is required.

There is no item on the agenda for this joint public meeting other than discussion of each political subdivision’s intent to increase its property tax request by a percentage greater than the “allowable growth percentage” defined in § 77-1633. The political subdivisions shall make their presentations in the order listed above.
