I have been employed as the Business Manager at Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools for 13 years.

My favorite things about Bancroft-Rosalie are the students and my co-workers.  Also, the school district provides a plethora of learning opportunities for the students.  Especially students in high school as they work their way through their career pathway.  Those include, but are not limited to, Dual Credit classes to receive college and high school credit (most credit is through our local colleges), P2T and Fridays at Northeast.  And the students have organizational opportunities that include, but are not limited to, SkillsUSA, FFA and HOSA (through P2T).

Maleficent is my favorite Disney Character.  King Julien is my favorite Madagascar Character.

My favorite meal is a Hot Beef!

My favorite place to visit is the Henry Doorly Zoo (and the King Julien's, when the exhibit is open)

My favorite season is Spring!!!

My favorite sport—it's a toss up between Volleyball and Basketball.

My favorite color is Blue.

A random fact about myself is that I have a sweet tooth!

Random fact about yourself:  My first car was a cherry red 1990 Ford Probe with automatic seatbelts.

How many years have you been working here?:  10 (7 as a math teacher, 3 as 7-12 Principal)

What is your favorite thing about B-R?:  My favorite thing about B-R is the people who make up our school community, especially the students.  Having the opportunity to improve student outcomes, both in school and beyond, is why I chose this profession!

Who is your favorite Disney character or Super Hero?  For a Disney character, I will say Simba from the Lion King (my sister had that movie on repeat growing up) and for Super Hero I will say Iron Man.  I enjoyed the engineering that went into his body suit.

Where is your favorite place to eat?  It's tough to beat a Snyder's Pub steak on Friday nights. 

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? The top of my list for travel destinations is currently Hawaii, but I would love to travel abroad as well.  I once drove to Winnipeg, Canada with a group of friends just to say we left the country, but that is the extent of my international travel, so I would love to explore different countries around the world one day. 

What is your favorite season?:  Football season....so Fall

Who is your favorite sports team? I'm a huge Husker fan!

Random fact about yourself:  I took up gardening and canning last year, focusing mainly on pickles and salsa.  Hopefully I have time to expand on that a bit this year.

I enjoy seeing students take advantage of all of the different programs, extracurricular activities, college credit classes, etc. It gives them a lot of opportunities to prepare for or figure out what they want to do in the future.

What is your favorite thing about B-R?: 

The number of opportunities offered to our kids, both in the classroom and extracurricular, that students in most rural schools our size do not have access to experience. This focus on this starts from the top with our administration always looking for new and better ways to prepare our students for their future success.

How many years have you been teaching here?: This is my first year of teaching at B-R.

What is your favorite thing about B-R?: One of my favorite things about B-R is that everyone looks out for one another, and they are always willing to help! I also enjoy the kids and coaching volleyball!

What is your favorite thing about B-R?: The class that I’ve had the chance to teach the last four years has been great! I also like all the opportunities I’ve had to coach different sports.

How many years have you been teaching here?: 

This is my 5th year at B-R!  

What is your favorite thing about B-R?:  

I love working alongside Heidi and all of BRs staff. It is pretty special that I work with some of the people that have taught me and with people I grew up with here at BR as well.   

A great thing at BR is that it is easy to get to know all of the families of the kids in my classroom. I can make great connections with my students and students throughout the whole school because of this. 

Who is your favorite Disney character?  

I think my favorite Disney character is forced to be Minnie Mouse because my daughter, Noah is obsessed!
