IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL FAMILIES:

The Bancroft-Rosalie Community School has received the following information concerning Summer PEBT:

“The Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) continue to partner on the issuance of Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits through the summer of 2021. Through an amendment of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA, P.L. 116-127), P-EBT will be available this summer to children who were eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals during the 2020-21 school year.”

At Bancroft-Rosalie Community School Eligible children will include:

“-Eligible students are those who were attending school during the month of May 2021 and qualified for free or reduced-price meals”

What this means:  ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN MAY 2021; AT BANCROFT-ROSALIE COMMUNITY SCHOOL ARE ELIGIBLE.

All eligible students can receive Summer 2021 P-EBT benefits regardless of:

  • Summer school attendance;
  • Availability of meals through Summer Food Service Program (SFSP); and
  • The student graduating from high school in May 2021.

The Bancroft-Rosalie Community School has submitted parent and student information for all students enrolled in May 2021 to the Nebraska Department of Education portal for the benefit issuance.

Benefits will be issued to families on September 8, 2021.

“Benefit Issuance Timeline

Nebraska is moving forward with a standard summer benefit that provides P-EBT funds from May 31, 2021- August 13, 2021.  The benefit amount for this 55 day period is $375. Any child meeting the eligibility requirements for Summer 2021 P-EBT will be issued this amount in a one-time payment.

Benefits will be issued directly to households through an active EBT card used for Round Three P-EBT benefit distribution. Households that did not receive Round Three P-EBT benefits will have a card sent to the primary address as provided by their school district.”
