Another year at B-R is underway! I'm enjoying getting to know the students in my groups--including some students new to B-R this year.

All groups have done an excellent job learning procedures for their new levels. We have reviewed skills from last year and started on new content. It's the first time I've had the opportunity to teach Spelling Mastery F--the highest level. The words are extremely difficult and challenge the students to use the rules they've learned. I was excited and proud of my group when they all passed what I considered a very difficult test for the beginning of the year! Congrats--and keep up the good work!

Science groups also got off to a fast start this year because of the Great American Eclipse. It would happen on our fourth day of school! Teachers planned lessons and activities to familiarize the students with what to expect and why it was happening. The students then enjoyed the excitement of the day and being witnesses of this natural phenomenon, even though we were somewhat disappointed that it didn't get as dark as we thought it would! It was an exciting way to start another year of science at B-R!
