JH learn about "real" money
Students in the 8th grade Financial Literacy class at Bancroft-Rosalie participated in a “Real World Money” seminar sponsored by the University of Nebraska and 4-H. The seminar was held at Northeast Community College.
The students participated in three breakout sessions. The first was a hands-on simulation in which students paired up and experienced making a budget for their household given certain scenarios. They had to make decisions on what they could and could not afford.
They also learned about credit and debit cards and the pros and cons of each. Lastly, they discussed future career options in Nebraska.
