Students compete @ SkillsUSA

Ostrand advances to nationals

Bancroft-Rosalie has three new Medication Aides. Kelcee Bacon, Sophia Henneman and Madison Polenske all passed their State Medication Aide test in Lincoln on April 4. The Medication Aide class will be completed soon, and the girls also will be Healthcare Provider CPR-certified before the end of the school year.

SkillsUSA interest at Bancroft-Rosalie has really increased this year. There were 22 students who competed at the State Leadership Conference in Grand Island on April 12 and 13.

Students competing were: Kelcee Bacon in medical terminology, Morgan Bonneau in medical math; Kyler Gomez and Zach Bridges in drone technology; Tiahna Bonneau in prepared speech; Lauren Ahlers and Vicki Gatzemeyer in job interview; Mariah Petersen in related technical math; Paige Peters in early childhood education; Braxton Bargmann in technical drafting; Weston Pagels in high school welding; Bradley Marr, Kobe Lyons and Parker Paulson welding fabrication, and Tyra Bonneau, Cydnee Bonsall, Madison Hansen, Kelsey Larsen, Sara Merritt, Tori Ostrand, Madison Polenske and Sophia Henneman in nurse assisting.

Receiving medals were Tori Ostrand, 1st in nurse assisting; Tyra Bonneau, 2nd in nurse assisting; Sara Merritt, 3rd in nurse assisting; Kelcee Bacon, 3rd in medical terminology, and Kyler Gomez and Zach Bridges, 2nd in drone technology.

Ostrand advances to the national competition on June 25-29 in Louisville, KY.
