Panthers compete in ITE contest
The 35th annual Industrial Technology Competition was held earlier this month on the Wayne State College campus.
A total of 102 junior high and high school students from Nebraska took the opportunity to test their knowledge and skills. Schools attending were Bancroft-Rosalie, Battle Creek, David City, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, LeMars IA, O’Neill, Orchard, Pierce and Wayne. Awards were given in 16 competition areas with 7th - 9th grades in Level 1 and 10th - 12th grades in Level 2. Students competed in construction, manufacturing, drafting, energy, power and transportation and problem-solving areas. The Industrial Technology faculty and students of Wayne State College sponsored and judged the competition. Coordinator of the event was Mr. Dave Hix, instructor in the WSC Technology and Applied Science Department.
The Technology and Applied Science Department is within the School of Business and Technology at Wayne State College.
