Currier is judges' pick

The Bancroft-Rosalie Art Students shined again at the recent Big Show. The Wakefield Art Club hosted its 9th annual "Big Show" at the Wakefield Community School. The "Big Show" hosts up to 20 schools from around the area competing for the top prize of "Judges Best of Show."

For the second year in a row, B-R received one of the three Judges Merit Honorable Mentions. The recipient was senior Anna Currier with her pencil drawing titled "4&1/2 Years," which is a drawing of herself at the age of, you guessed it, four and a half years old.

Currier also brought home the "Outstanding School Artist" award, which is a trophy given to the school's best art project voted by all the area students who participated in the Big Show. Each school is allowed one "Outstanding School Artist," and Anna's drawing titled "4&1/2 Years" was voted B-R's top project.

Bancroft-Rosalie received a total of 14 "Judges Merits." Those students were:  Zoe Sjuts (2), Sara Merritt, Vicki Gatzemeyer (2), Tiahna Bonneau, Kelcee Bacon, Maddie Hansen (2), Anna Currier (2), Paige Peters, Morgan Bonneau and MorningStar Roundstone. B-R also received 9 "Superior" ratings: Tiahna Bonneau (2), Darwin Snyder, Michael Snyder (3), Josh Wilson, Trent Gatewood and Kenyan Lovejoy.
