'I am impressed & proud'

The sixth grade class spent the last few weeks writing and illustrating their own stories.

Most of us have all heard the infamous story of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.” Students were asked to create their own “If You Give a…” story as well as illustrate them. Stories ranged from “If You Give a Fox Frosting” to “If You Give an Elephant an Egg.”

The effort and time the students put forth in creating their stories was phenomenal. Not only did they construct wonderful stories, but also shared them with the younger elementary kiddos. I am impressed and proud of their courage to get up in front of a live audience and read their stories. I truly think this is something the sixth graders, as well as the young elementary audiences, will remember for quite some time.
