Elementary learn all about books

The B-R elementary library students have been improving their reading skills by checking out fiction as well as non-fiction to read in their spare time.

The K-3 graders have been reviewing parts of a book and steps on how to choose a book at their reading ability. The 4-6 graders have been reviewing the Dewey Decimal system, looking for titles and deciding if a website would be a good reference site to trust.

All Nebraskans have information at their fingertips just by going to the NebraskAccess website at //nebraskaccess.nebraska.gov/. NebraskAccess offers free 24/7 access to websites selected by librarians, full text government publications and Nebraska historical resources. It also provides Nebraska residents with premium databases containing thousands of full text popular magazine and journal articles; primary source documents; genealogical, health, legal, small business and science resources; reading recommendations, and research resources for K-12 students. The website has "Hot Topics" for the current month. Just log in by using your Nebraska drivers license number or ask for the current password from your local librarian.
