XC to compete @ state

After winning the East Husker Conference champion title at Columbus earlier this month, the BRLD Wolverine boys cross country team placed second at districts at Pender and are heading to the state meet Friday at Kearney.

The BRLD boys team finished with 63 points, 29 points behind first place Crofton.

Topping the runners was senior Zach Bridges who finished in ninth place with a time of 18:00.53. Others helping with team points were Brayden Anderson in 13th place, Reid Preston in 16th, Micah Henschen in 28th, Devin Hegge in 30th and Zach Hegge in 39th.

For the girls, MorningStar Roundstone finished 55th and Ashley Lecher finished 64th.

Coaching the athletes is Paul Timm.
