iPads are vital in class
Students in the fourth grade class at Bancroft-Rosalie are adjusting to their classes and daily routines. The 21 students are made up of 13 girls and 8 boys, and their homeroom teacher is Mrs. Elsasser.
The use of iPads in the classroom has become a very integral part of each student’s day. Their day begins with using the Xtra math site to practice their basic operation facts. During language, math, science and social studies, students are able to access the IXL site to practice and further advance their skills.
In science, students have been learning how to navigate the Discovery Education website, which is used as the basis for covering the 4th grade science topics. New this year is the use of the iPad for social studies to access the Nebraska Studies Weekly publication, which had been in paper form in the past.
As you can see, the iPad plays an important part of each 4th grader’s day, and that is why it is so important that students come to school with their iPads every day fully charged.
