All eyes on the eclipse
Junior high and senior high students at Bancroft-Rosalie stepped outside Monday afternoon to view the total solar eclipse. They weren't alone as crowds gathered throughout the state to view the phenomenon of the moon passing between the Earth and sun.
Students were amazed at how dark the special glasses were, not allowing any light through until you look at the sun.
It had been 99 years since a total solar eclipse swept across the United States, with the path of totality measuring 70 miles wide and cutting across 14 states, including Nebraska.
