Summer days are numbered, school starts Aug. 16
(supply lists attached)
The days of summer vacation are coming to a close as teachers and staff at Bancroft-Rosalie Community School prepare for the beginning of the 2017-18 school year that begins on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
In May, the school said goodbye to preschool teacher to the four-year-olds Lacey Sateren of Wisner and first grade teacher Tara Dolen of Wakefield. Settling into her new room is first-year teacher Paige Frank of Pender, who will be in charge of the sixth graders. Frank will assist Kendra Boden of L-D with JH volleyball duties.
Longtime sixth grade teacher Rebecca James has moved and is now the new first grade teacher.
Another change this year is that all the three- and four-years-old will be at the preschool building downtown along with teacher Carri Schuttler and paras Robin Petersen and Heidi Hilsinger.
Speech/language instructor Toni Goeken returns to B-R after a one year hiatus that was filled by Tracey Neumann, and taking on an extra-duty assignment is Matt Kai, who will assist Bruce Knaak of L-D with junior high boys basketball.
