One-to-one access is exciting step

We have exciting elementary technology news for 2015-16!

For the first time, third through sixth graders are able to have access to their own school iPad 24/7! After a parent/guardian signs a "safe use" contract and a small insurance fee is paid, each student is able to take the device home to assist with homework as well as use it during the school day. Kindergarten through second graders have access to classroom iPads during the school day.

Last year, increased use of iPads was necessary to implement the Discovery Education Science Techbook curriculum in second through sixth grades. Noting the importance of technology in enhancing student learning, the decision was made to purchase enough additional iPads to allow third through sixth graders to have one-to-one access to the devices 24/7. This allows the technology to be used more consistently across the curriculum. Students will continue to use them in science as well as completing other classroom assignments or activities in programs such as Xtra Math and IXL math and language.

Bancroft-Rosalie is committed to providing the best education possible for our students, and one-to-one access to technology is a huge and exciting step in that direction!
