Summer strength training continues
School may not be in session, but junior high and senior high students still come to the building on a regular basis. They are using the school's weight room as the fall sports season is just a little more than a month away.
Football coaches Kyle Elsasser and Matt Kai have been sponsoring summer strength training. The weight room is open each weekday from 6 to 8 a.m. and Monday through Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. A beginners lifting seminar is held from 8 to 9 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday for students who are new to lifting to learn proper form and technique.
Football practice begins Aug. 10, with the first football game set for Sept. 4.
