'I'm thankful for . . . '
With Thanksgiving just a day away, the second grade class took time out to think about the real meaning of the holiday. Mrs. Schuttler asked her students to list the top five things they are thankful for, and the responses were both cute and kind. Here is what they said:
"I'm thankful for the Army and Air Force, my family, my grandpa and grandma, the world and school."—Landon Bonneau

"I'm thankful for my family, food and water, school, friends and home."—Graysen Briggs
"I'm thankful for my family, friends, cousins, baseball and my dad playing catch with me."—Nick Buchholz
"I'm thankful for Thanksgiving dinner, my brothers and sister, my mom and dad, Christmas decorations and video games."—Ayden Dolezal
"I'm thankful for my family, spending time with my grandma and grandpa, my house, my clothes and reading."—Addison James
"I'm thankful for my grandpa and grandma, family, friends, life and school."—Makenna James
"I'm thankful for my family, my dog, Thanksgiving, Nebraska Huskers and my house."—Caleb Johnson
