Students take pen to paper to create story quilt
The seventh graders have been working hard on their short story unit project. The students each selected one of the short stories we have been studying the past few weeks to create an image representing the story.
Once they finished the images to their satisfaction, they spent a couple days carefully using fabric markers to transfer the images from paper to canvas.
The students then shared their squares with the class, demonstrating the elements of their stories. When all the pieces were completed, they were tied together with string. The quilt in its entirety is on display in Ms. Linnerson’s English room.
