School uses Monsanto grant to purchase iPads

Students in grades 2-6 are using Discovery Education and their Science Techbook as our science curriculum. Students use iPads instead of regular science textbooks to complete assignments. B-R was awarded a $10,000 grant from Monsanto to improve our students’ science and/or math education. The grant money was used to purchase iPads for the students' use in implementing the new curriculum. Thank you Monsanto!
Teachers and students have had access to Discovery Education and all its resources for several years. Using Discovery Education/Science Techbook as the curriculum will literally put a world of science resources at the students' fingertips. Articles, videos, animations and hands-on activities will provide current and fun learning. In many cases, the ability to have immediate feedback will improve the students' understanding while they explore science concepts on the iPads.
