The Elementary Races into Field Day!

On Wednesday, May 19th, the  B-R Elementary students, including grades K-6, participated in various track and other events that were a part of field day.  The field day meet was held at the Bancroft-Rosalie football field and started at 1:00 and lasted until 3:30.  Each student chose 4 events to participate in.  The field events included long jump, softball or baseball throw, sack race, and Frisbee throw.  The running events available were the 50 meter dash, 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter run, 800 meter run, 4x1 relay, and the 4x4 relay.  A few of the Kindergartners who placed were  Jocelyn who placed 1st in the long jump with a jump of 5’2’’, in the softball throw Lauren threw 35’1’’ to receive 1st place, and in the 50 meter dash Lucas ran a time of 7.07 to receive a 1st place.  In the first grade, Maria threw the Frisbee 65.3 for first place, Kinlee received first in the 100m dash with a time of 17.5 seconds, in the 200m dash Dylan ran a time of 38 seconds and placed 1st.  A few of the 1st place winners in second grade were Halle in the 50m dash with a time of 9.7 seconds, Weston in the 100m dash with a time of 16.02 seconds, and Tyra in the 200m dash with a time of 38.64 seconds.  A couple of the first place winners in 3rd grade were Devon in the 400 with a time of 59.66, Ramon in the baseball throw with a throw of 95 feet.  Some 4th grade 1st place winners included Coltin in the 800m dash with a time of 2:06.2, Teagan won the sack race, and Lauren won the long jump with a jump of 10 feet.  A few of the 5th grade 1st place winners were Aaron who won the baseball throw with a throw of 130 feet, Kobe won the 50m dash with a time of 8.5 seconds, and Jessica won the 100m dash with a time of 15.09 seconds.  1st place winners in the 6th grade included Dayne in the baseball throw with a throw of 180.7 feet, Ashten in the 100m dash with a time of 15.65 seconds, and Adrian in the 400m dash with a time of 56.9 seconds.  Mr. Peters would also like to give a special thanks to Trent S. who helped throughout the day in lining everyone up for their running events.
