Country Comes To Town!!

By Paige Tietz

February 05, 2010

In case you haven’t noticed there have been quite a few different varieties of wildlife in the town of Bancroft lately.  I will start with the loudest and most noticeable of them all, the turkeys.  They can be heard throughout the town traveling from house to house looking for food and shelter.  On one of their most recent visits to the school they were spotted resting on the outdoor school announcement board. Many of the students were amazed by them and a few students stated that they wished they could take them home! Another creature that has made his home in Bancroft is a fox. The fox is shyer than the turkeys and it may be harder to spot. It often stays in the trees and brush near the football field. So now that I have shared with you some of the wildlife visiting town, do you think they are a great addition to the neighborhood or do you think that they could be lived without.
