BR Elementary Votes

Tuesday November 4th, the day we had all been waiting for. At Bancroft-Rosalie the elementary held sort of a mini-election to see who would win the election for our school. The 6th grade class prepared most of the things for the election, they made posters, the booth (with help from Mr. Smith) and the ballots .This mini election was very close to a real election. Kids were going in and out of the booth voting for who they wanted as the president, but most importantly standing in line, just like a real election!
After all was said and done the votes were finally counted and Senator McCain won with only one more vote then Senator Obama. Unlike the real election in which Senator Obama was elected as our new president. This activity was an excellent way of teaching kids about the democratic system and how every vote counts!BR Elementary Votes
