Panthers compete in Wayne State Band Day parade
Judge compliments the band's sound!

October 16, 2007
On September 29th the Panther Band, under the direction of Mr. Jordan, headed to Wayne for competition. The B-R Band was one of over a dozen bands involved in the parade that day, with at least half a dozen bands competing in their class.
The Band was led by Brittany Buck, who did a fine job in her
first parade as majorette. Full uniform was worn for the day
as the 7th graders got their first real taste of parade
competition. Judges rated bands on their musicianship and marching
abilities. Though B-R did not place first in their class,
they received high marks in their class for their overall
sound.

"The band seemed to get stronger and stronger in their marching, as the parade went on", Mr. Jordan noted. "I think the butterflies disappeared after we got by the judges."
The marching Panthers now turn their focus to the Star City Holiday Parade, held in Lincoln on December 1st.
